If you want to clear Star Savior without wasting resources, these are the characters that actually matter early on.
You don’t need a full tier list or perfect teams. You just need a few units that consistently perform and carry your progress.
The early pulls you get can also determine whether or not you reroll your account.
Top 5 PVE characters: Asherah Waltz (Order), Emily (Moon), Lacy (Chaos), Bunny Girl Charlotte (Sun), Bell (Star).
#1 – Asherah Waltz (Order)

Best early game carry
Asherah Waltz Guide
Asherah is one of the strongest early-game units because she does everything at once.
Her basic attacks heal the lowest HP ally, scaling with her max HP. This gives your team constant sustain without needing a dedicated healer. Her special skill deals damage while healing all allies, and her ultimate restores HP, removes two debuffs, and increases the action gauge of all allies except herself.
She is not just keeping your team alive, she is speeding up your entire team.
Her limit break pushes her even further. She gains a chance to perform follow-up attacks whenever allies use basic attacks, and each follow-up provides additional healing based on her max HP. At higher limit breaks, this becomes extremely consistent and turns her into a passive healing engine.
Asherah solves survivability, debuff management, and tempo in one slot. That level of efficiency is why she sits at the top.
If you have her, your early game becomes significantly easier.
Currently there is a banner with a rate up of her. Pull her until she is Limit Break 3. (At least 1)
#2 – Emily (Moon)

Most reliable all-rounder
Emily Guide
Emily is one of the safest and most consistent units you can invest in early. She scales off max HP, making her naturally tanky and able to absorb a lot of damage.
Her basic skill deals damage, and her enhanced basic grants her a barrier, giving her near-constant protection. Her special skill boosts an ally’s damage for 3 turns, provides a barrier, and then grants herself an extra turn, allowing her to cycle quickly.
Her ultimate grants defense up to an ally and builds stacks of Awakened Memory, which increase her ultimate damage over time. While she is primarily a tank, this scaling allows her to contribute meaningful damage in longer fights.
What makes Emily stand out is her barrier uptime. She is almost always protected, which makes her extremely difficult to take down while still supporting the team.
If you don’t have Asherah, Emily becomes your most reliable core unit.
#3 – Lacy (Chaos)

Best self-scaling DPS
Lacy Guide
Lacy is a straightforward damage dealer that becomes stronger once her kit is fully active.
Her basic skill deals damage, while her special skill gains additional damage and grants speed up when enemies are affected by Entangled Dream. Her ultimate applies this debuff to all enemies and gives her an attack buff, setting up her entire kit.
Once Entangled Dream is active, her damage increases and her overall tempo improves. Her passive adds even more value by granting action gauge and healing when interacting with affected enemies, allowing her to sustain and cycle faster in fights.
Lacy works well because she brings her own setup. She does not rely heavily on other units to enable her, making her efficient and easy to use in early to mid-game content.
She performs better the longer fights go, making her a strong and consistent DPS choice.
#4 – Bunny Girl Charlotte (Sun)

Best tempo and burst enabler
Bunnygirl Charlotte Guide
Charlotte brings speed, buffs, and burst damage in a single kit.
Her basic attacks build Ignition stacks. Her special skill gives all allies attack up for 2 turns, grants herself an extra turn, and provides an undispellable Lucky Token buff that gives 20% defense penetration.
Her ultimate deals high damage that scales with Ignition stacks, and if she reaches maximum stacks, the cooldown is reset after use. This allows her to burst more frequently than expected.
Her passive further accelerates her gameplay. She gains Ignition stacks whenever a Sun attribute ally takes a turn, and while Lucky Token is active, her basic attacks trigger an additional basic attack.
This makes her fast, consistent, and capable of strong burst windows.
Charlotte stands out because she increases overall team damage while also having her own damage potential. She is best used in aggressive teams where faster clears matter more than safety.
#5 – Bell (Star)

Best control and utility pick
Bell Guide
Bell brings control and consistency to your team, especially in harder stages.
Her special skill applies AOE accuracy down for 2 turns while giving herself a speed boost, reducing incoming pressure and helping her cycle faster. Her ultimate is extremely valuable, silencing enemies for 2 turns and removing all buffs at a 100% chance.
This allows her to shut down dangerous enemies and prevent them from using key abilities.
Her passive gives her additional action gauge and an extra attack whenever an ally or enemy is defeated. This helps her take more turns as fights progress, increasing her overall impact.
Bell does not act as a main carry, but she stabilises fights and prevents things from going wrong. Her ability to control enemies makes her especially useful when content starts becoming more difficult.
Final Verdict
If you focus on these five characters, you will be able to clear most PVE content without struggling.
You do not need to build a large roster early on. Focus on one main carry and a few supporting units, and your progression will be much smoother.
Build smart, and the game becomes much easier than it looks.
